Bookkeeping Graphic

I have admired word graphics for many years and when I started looking around for all things Bookkeeping I found a few examples typically with watermarks. Additionally, I certainly didn’t want to receive any cease and desist letters. My solution: “I can do that”. I typically say that and typically end up biting off more than I can chew. I mean really its just placing words related to bookkeeping together right? Needless to say those professional ones certainly look that way for a reason. Or, there are templates out there that I didn’t search for…and certainly could have lessened the challenge. Regardless here is what I came up with and will go with until it feels like I have gotten my “money’s” worth.

As always there were lots of ideas and visions and aha moments during the design process. In the end you just have to find a stopping point. Which is what happened here. I did use what I have designated my brand colors – mostly. I didn’t use my brand font. I ended up using color when I was sure that I wasn’t going to. Ultimately I am proud of it because all my reference images didn’t really use the real words or current terminology. Lots of old accounting terms vs what really happens in business today. I am glad I went through the challenges of spacing, font size and to color or not color. It can only improve from here!
